Alexas was a brilliant guide for us on our walk through the jungle on Isla contoy. All the staff were great, the beach was the best I’ve ever seen and we saw iguanas, sting rays and tropical fish during the snorkelling. An amazing day
Overall the crew and the experience was great. They had a photographer taking pictures that you could purchase if you wanted to. In typical fashion they start at a price thats above what most are willing to pay, but come down to something more reasonable. The crew was very attentive in making sure everyone had a drink if they wanted and was having a good time. Why not 5 stars. They picked us up 25 minutes after the pick up time. Then when we left Isla Mujeres they were very specific about us needing to be on time for the trip back on the Cataraman, 7:50. He even said what time his watch was reading , I checked my phone, exact same time. We returned to the meet up spot at 7:48. Not a soul was there. I know we cut it close, but I would never tell someone a time and then leave before it, if they weren't there. We waited until like 7:52 and were thinking no chance everyone is late. We started to panic , started trying to talk to the people at the marina. The head guy from the Cataraman came back at 7:55 and got us. I should probably give it 3 stars for that incident, but the rest was pretty good and worth it, it would have been 5. So fyi he says 7:50, you better show up at 7:40.
This was a great tour!! Everything was well organized. My guide was Rolando and he did a phenomenal job keeping/making us feel safe while snorkeling, and the food for lunch was surprisingly really good!! I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore the islands and spend time with the most turquoise water I’ve ever seen in my life, it didn’t feel real.
We love Giovani as our tour guide! His video footage was awesome!!! I think Gustavo was amazing at spotting and getting into good position with so many boats and participants! We would definitely recommend this activity! A small word of warning- it’s a little stressful and the better and faster you can swim-you’ll have a great experience. It’s fast paced and they tell you when and where to be but you have to be quick to jump out of the boat to race to see the whale sharks and to be in the best position to get to see them. Go for it!!!
