Your day begins with a warm welcome at our Visitor Center on the beautiful beach of Bayahibe, where you’ll receive a short introduction to the adventure ahead. From there, we set out into the lush Padre Nuestro Jungle Trail — a protected natural area rich with history and biodiversity. As you walk through the tropical forest, your expert guide will share fascinating insights about the local plants, animals, and the ancient Taíno people who once inhabited this region. The journey leads to the breathtaking Cueva de Chicho, an underground cave adorned with impressive stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over thousands of years. Step inside this natural wonder and enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of this hidden sanctuary.

After exploring the cave, the adventure continues toward the scenic Chavón River. Here, your private captain will greet you aboard a traditional wooden riverboat for a serene ride upstream. As you cruise between towering green cliffs, you’ll understand why this river has been featured in several films for its cinematic beauty. Upon arriving at our riverside ranch, a delicious Dominican lunch awaits, served with local flavors and hospitality. After lunch, unwind with free time to relax by the river, join a peaceful kayak tour, or swing into the water for some fun. You’ll also enjoy a guided fruit trail experience with tastings and stories about tropical produce. On the return journey, we stop at a local colmado—a vibrant mix of shop and meeting place that serves as the social heart of every Dominican neighborhood—offering you a glimpse into authentic island life before heading back to your hotel.
