The journey begins in Bucovina, often referred to as the “Land of Beech Trees,” where visitors explore some of Romania’s most famous painted monasteries. Highlights include Voroneț Monastery, known for its distinctive blue frescoes and dramatic “Last Judgment” scene, along with Sucevița and Moldovița Monasteries, both recognized for their richly detailed biblical artwork and fortified architecture.
