Discover the enchanting region of Bucovina, a land where history, spirituality, and natural beauty intertwine in perfect harmony. Known as the “Land of Beech Trees,” Bucovina captures the essence of authentic Romanian culture through its traditional villages, friendly locals, and world-famous painted monasteries. Departing from Bucharest, your journey unfolds across picturesque countryside landscapes, passing through charming towns before reaching Bucovina. This region has long been celebrated for its cultural and spiritual heritage, even receiving international recognition for its beauty and authenticity. The heart of Bucovina lies in its monasteries, each adorned with intricate frescoes and vivid colors that tell timeless biblical stories. During your visit, you’ll explore Moldovita, Sucevita, and Voronet Monasteries, each a masterpiece of art and devotion. Voronet, often called the “Sistine Chapel of the East,” is particularly admired for its distinctive blue hue and awe-inspiring Last Judgment scene painted on its exterior walls. These sacred landmarks stand as powerful symbols of faith, creativity, and the enduring spirit of the Moldavian people.
The adventure continues with a journey through the magnificent Carpathian Mountains toward the mythical land of Transylvania. Along the way, admire the stunning landscapes of Bicaz Gorge and the serene beauty of the Red Lake before arriving in the medieval city of Brasov. With its cobblestone streets, Gothic architecture, and lively atmosphere, Brasov is one of Romania’s most picturesque destinations. Explore the historic Council Square, the Black Church, and the charming Old Town before heading to the legendary Bran Castle, a place steeped in mystery and linked to the legend of Dracula. As you learn the fascinating stories behind this iconic fortress, you’ll feel transported into a world of legend and history. The tour concludes with a scenic drive back to Bucharest, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Romania’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking scenery, and warm hospitality. This journey through Bucovina and Transylvania is more than a trip it’s a step back in time, where tradition, legend, and beauty come together in one of Europe’s most captivating regions.

The tour was outstanding. Florin speaks perfect english and has an extensive knowledge of the monasteries and all its associated history. The tour itself is very pleasant because of the bucolic scenery. His car is very confortable. The Monasteries are the Pearl of Romania

We spent one wonderful and very interesting day together with Florin discovering the beautiful painted monasteries and gorgeous landscapes of Bucovina. Florin was able to answer every question we had and pointed out details we would probably have missed without him. Besides that we enjoyed listening to the many stories of Florin's life as a tour guide and he helped us organising a bus to our next stop in Romania. We would totally recommend you to book a tour via Bucovina Day Tours, especially if you don't travel by car.

Had a wonderful day out exploring several of the Painted Unesco Churches of Moldavia with Florin. He speaks very fluent English, is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the churches and their history. He pointed out so many architectural and painting details I would have otherwise missed. Very fairly priced and cannot recommend him enough! Thanks a lot again, Florin, and all my best wishes!

Florin is an amazing young hearted tour guide that knows many things about Bucovina. I spent the whole day with him as he showed me around the beautiful monasteries while explaining the history and the significance of all the paintings on the Monasteries. If you love religion and/or the history of it, you will love this tour! If you're in Suceava, then you must do this tour! Florin's car can accommodate up to 4 tourists, but if you happen to be more, he will be more than happy to get a bigger car or even a bus. He's a genuinely nice man and he has many interesting stories! He also does tours all around Romania. If I am ever in the need of a tour guide in Romania, he would be the first person I would contact.

Florin was a truly excellent private tour guide in Bucovina. He brought the monasteries’ histories and paintings to life. He also chose an excellent country restaurant for a local cuisine lunch. He’s a person with wide interests which made the time we passed driving quite enjoyable. The details were good too—on time, good driving, safe car. We recommend Florin without reservation!
