An outstanding museum! One of the best museums in Greece worth traveling to. All the archeological finds are uniquely placed with an over all artistic aesthetic.

What an amazing museum! We visited with our school and the entrance was included in the Tomb ticket. I loved the architecture, the exhibits ,the whole vibe. You could feel the grandeur, the magnificence, the very essence of all that is Greek Macedonian culture. The olive garden is amazing and I also loved the museum café, elegant, classy, clean, with smiling, helpful staff.! I appreciate that they collaborate with the Thymiopoulos Winery which is known for its quality and originality. This hidden jewel should have been full of visitors!!! I will definitely visit it again!!!

The Central Museum Building was designed to serve as the conceptual gateway to the archaeological site and the history of Aigai, to the history and culture of the Macedonians, and to the Hellenistic world. In addition to the introductory exhibit “A Window into the World of Alexander the Great,” the Central Museum Building houses permanent and temporary exhibitions covering themes related to architecture, sculpture and the historical memory of Aigai.

Nice, modern building, with huge spaces - beautifully designed collections! I'm afraid it's just a bit of a drop from the Main Tomb museum in the town! It's lacking in the atmosphere, and maybe missing a few highlights to be presented in more spectacular way.

After you visit the royal tombs and the palace, don’t forget to visit this new museum. The artifacts are exhibited in a total new way, making even the most common nails to look incredible. The reconstruction of the palace’s facade, the ladies of the Macedonian kingdom, the artifacts from the necropolis… It’s a short, but definitely amazing trip in time!
