Our stay at the Old Cataract was absolutely wonderful. The hotel itself is stunning — full of history, elegance, and charm, with a view over the Nile that simply takes your breath away. What truly made our experience outstanding, however, was the warmth and care of the staff — especially Sarah from Customer Relations. She went above and beyond in every possible way. She gave us a fascinating private tour of Agatha Christie’s suite and, when we weren’t feeling well, she took such thoughtful care of us — arranging light meals and even helping us get medication. Her kindness and genuine concern made us feel truly looked after and at home. We can’t thank her and the whole team enough. The Old Cataract is not just a hotel — it’s an experience we’ll never forget.
The hotel is stunning. We have the best view of the Nile River. Staff is spectacular. The most accommodating staff yet. Miriam from Oriental Restaurant and Marvel were incredible. I wish I could remember everyone else’s name for a shoutout! Definitely recommend stopping by the Oriental restaurant by the way and also the burger from Saraya was delicious. We were able to arrange all of our excursion directly with concierge. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Aswan.
Amazing hotel with top notch service. Our suite on the Nile was just perfect. Carlos was our fabulous butler for our 4 night stay. We really enjoyed our private tour of the hotel. All the staff at the hotel were so warm and welcoming. Myriam was amazing whenever we see her during breakfast and dinner at Kababgy was delicious. We will definitely stay here again.
