Giovanni was a great guide!! There is so much to see on the Vatican tour, it makes all the difference to have such a knowledgeable guide that can share the history of such a sacred place. The skip the line is well worth it also!!

Vatican, Sistine Chapel, St Peter’s Basilica and Vatican Museum Tour Well, what can I say? We have just arrived back home, in The UK 🇬🇧, after a well deserved long weekend break, in Rome. What an amazing trip? Although we have been to ‘The Eternal City’ once before, it was as if this was our first visit. Our tour of The Vatican, Sistine Chapel, St Peter’s Basilica and Vatican Museum, with yourselves, was nothing short of ‘spectacular’. In The UK we would say it was ‘The Icing on The Cake!’ 😊 Actually, It was the one thing we wished we had done, on our last visit. So, imagine our delight, to be chaperoned by, Carl. Surely the best tour guide, in Rome? We cannot thank Carl enough, for his: passion, attention to detail, knowledge, enthusiasm, care for the group, safeguarding skills and his Germanic nature, resulting in strict but gentle discipline, clear instructions, abstract humour and a feeling of safety, even in the middle of the multitude of tourists. He actually made US feel like everyone else, in these venues, were tourists, and we were VIP’s, on a totally different level. Almost like diplomats. 🤭 Don’t ask me how he did it, but he did and he was excellent at it. He deserves a medal. 🥇 😊 So, we can’t thank you enough. Next time in Rome, we’ll do the tour with you guys, again. But only if we can be chaperoned by Carl or someone on his level of excellence or better? Now that’s a challenge for you! 😂 Thanks again and keep up the good work. Andy & Fiona Taylor - Wilmslow, Cheshire, UK

We had an incredible experience touring the Vatican with Carl as our guide. His depth of knowledge and attention to detail brought every part of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica to life. Carl provided fascinating insights that went well beyond the usual commentary, helping us truly appreciate the art, history, and stories behind what we were seeing. He managed the group perfectly—keeping things engaging, well-paced, and organised—while being super friendly and approachable throughout. His passion for the Vatican and its history was infectious, and he made the whole experience both informative and enjoyable. Highly recommend Carl for anyone wanting a truly memorable and insightful Vatican tour!

We were really grateful we took this tour. In include special passage that goes directly through capela sistina to basilica st peters. It definitely saves huge amount of time. Our guide Juliene was very friendly & do the tour enthusiastic & full of energy. Definitely a must book. Thx viator!

Our tour of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter’s today was excellent. Such an amazing amount of history which in truth cannot be fully digested in one day. A lady started our tour (apologies, I have forgotten her name), and she took us around the Vatican City and St Peter’s, which was incredible. Her knowledge was very impressive and I have definitely learnt a lot about the Vatican through her. Giovanni took us around the second half of the tour, and was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable, passionate and witty, all combined with a good sense of humour. His English was excellent and in particular the pronunciation of the words “urn” and “Wimbledon”! 😂 The tour itself is described as lasting 3 hours, however ours was closer to 4 today, so it’s a long day! St Peter’s and the Sistine Chapel are like nothing you can imagine! Simply stunning and an absolute must if you are visiting Rome. Purchasing the guided tour is worth the money simply for the queue hopping that we benefited from on several occasions getting into all the of major site seeing locations. Although a long and mentally draining day (due to the amount of information provided and also visually so much took at) this guided tour is a must so please check it out!
