Phu Bai Airport in Hue is clean, modern, and beautifully maintained. The staff are very polite and professional, including those working at the food stalls and cafes. However, food and drink prices are a bit high, so be prepared to spend a little more. Overall, a pleasant and efficient airport experience.
This airport was surprisingly good for the area is serving and the ridiculously low traffic going on there. No secret air traffic here is far from being busy, with a few dozens of daily flights this airport felt easy to navigate and very much renovated and modern. I had the feeling of being in a bigger airport and in my opinion better than Saigon airport which supposed to be the second largest airport in Vietnam. Something unexpected happened to me there, I’ve always arrived a bit more than 2h from departure time earlier to the airport and got my surprise this airport es closed (se pictures) they roughly opened the airport 2h before first departure and check in time 1h45m before first flight. I had a great experience also this is a single building terminal therefore all gates are near each other
New AirPort- The airport has just been upgraded; it is very clean and spacious. Our trip to Hue was very smooth. the driver picked us up at Phu Bai Airport. We will spend two days exploring Hue before heading to Da Nang as per the company's tour itinerary.

Staff are polite and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Though not large, the airport offers essential amenities, including a few cafes and souvenir shops. The modern design blends well with local cultural touches, reflecting the charm of Hue. Flights usually operate on time, and luggage handling is smooth. Overall, it’s a great regional airport that delivers a comfortable experience for both domestic and international travelers. A proud gateway to central Vietnam!
The airport is clean and modern. Inside, there is a family restroom which is very innovative and thoughtful. Since the airport is small, both flights I’ve taken used jet bridges, which is very convenient.
