You will change into a traditional mahout’s outfit and take a short walk out to meet with the elephants in their natural habitat. Alongside a real mahout, you will learn how to approach the elephants, judge their temperament, and gain their trust. You will be able to feed them and be amazed as you watch their trunks skillfully scoop up food offered to them.


After watching them eat and having secured your special bond with the elephant, you will observe or help the mahouts as they bathe and play with the animals. This interaction helps the elephants cool off and cleanse their thick skins, which is a vital part of their daily care routine.
