So much larger than we expected. Not just the reclining buddha but the entire wat pho temple. Alot to see and absorb. Ensure appropriate clothing to ensure women's shoulders and knees covered.

Wat Pho is definitely worth a visit and is a classic temple complex. The reclining Buddha is huge with a thoughtfully arranged barrier system around it to take pictures without people blocking the shot. Note that there are side and rear exits, the latter leading to the river for view of Wat Arun from a few restaurants.

One of the most ''must see'' in Bangkok. The vibe is holy and ther're so many things to see. Don't forget to dress appropriately couse if you don't, they''ll make you buy pants or shirt to cover you. The main temple is huge and you won't spend there too much time. You just walk around the Buddha and that's about it. But the rest of the entire compound is enormous, you can stay there for hours.

Wat Pho is a masterpiece of devotion and artistry. The giant Reclining Buddha, representing the Buddha’s final step before entering Nirvana, is humbling in scale and spirit. Wander further and you’ll also find the Standing Buddha, a serene symbol of blessing and protection, framed by intricately carved stupas and quiet courtyards. The temple’s massage school adds a living tradition to the visit. Arrive early, dress modestly, and prepare for a blend of awe and tranquility that lingers long after you leave.

You can spent hours here looking at all the buildings and statues. When you arrive by boat avoid tuck tuck drivers offering a tour for 40 baht. They stop at several places where they try to sell you jewellery and clothes. If you have lots of time and don't mind a couple of stops with sales people you can see 5 different places plus 3-4 shops within a couple of hours
