Krystian was an awesome guide for our Zakopane trip! Super friendly, easy to talk to, and really knew his stuff. He showed us the best spots, shared cool stories, and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. The day was fun, relaxed, and full of great views and local flavor. Would definitely recommend touring with him!

There were 2 tours I really wanted to do: Auschwitz & Birkenau and the Salt Mines. I assumed, as it was out of the main tourist season, that booking a trip would be easy... Well you know what they say about assuming... Makes an ass out of u and me. About a week before we flew I started doing my research only to find most dates and operators were fully booked. I therefore contacted the hotel to see if they could assist. Luckily they use a tour company who managed to squeeze us in - Krakow Direct. Total cost of the day trip for 2 of us was £185. That included collection from our hotel which was outside the city centre, skip the queue tickets for Auschwitz and Birkenau, and a private guide (Michael who was excellent). Around Auschwitz you do feel a bit rushed and you are herded through buildings but that is because of the sheer volume of visitors and you only have a limited time slot. Birkenau is less rushed but a lot more walking. None the less it was exactly as you'd expect; an important and sobering reminder of not only the pure evil people are capable of but also the strength, resilience and determination people demonstrate at times of adversity and near certain death. This trip is one I think everyone should do in their lifetime at least once. The salt mines on the other hand was completely different and really rather fun. I asked the hotel to book this for us too and again this was done through Krakow Direct - £117 in total for us both. This again included collection from the hotel, skip the line tickets and guide. The photos I think speak for themselves. Though you don't see the over 700 steps you have to descend or the rickety elevator you have to take back to the surface. If you're claustrophobic this is one trip you may want to reconsider.

Very professional service. We booked a private transfer for the Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz tours. It was an intense day, but absolutely worth it. The driver was punctual, polite, and made the ride very comfortable. For the visit, we had to wait briefly for the group transport, but everything was well organized. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging. Overall, a reliable and smooth experience — can’t complain!

We used Krakow Direct to visit Auschwitz. Perfect in every way from start to finish. Walker was our driver/guide who was perfect. He had excellent English and gave us clear and concise instructions about what to expect from the trip, and drove us there and back safely, along with handing us over safely to the Auschwitz guides. We couldn't have asked for a better chaperone. Thanks Walker/Michael and KrakowDirect

The whole experience was absolutely fantastic! Jacob was our driver from Krakow to Auschwitz and from his timely collection to the final drop off everything went like clockwork. His English was faultless and he accommodated everything we needed. He played a very interesting video (that I had not seen before) on the way to the museum and made sure the hook up with the tour guide went well. Throughout the tour Jacob ensured the party stayed together and for those who had ordered lunch he made sure that the more than adequate lunch box was handed out. At 6’6” the mini bus was a bit cramped but that can not be avoided (and I’m used to that!) but the drive in both directions was smooth and without incident. I had wanted to do this trip for years and, having now done it, I am really grateful to Jacob and his colleagues for the fantastic service they supplied. Incidentally, we used the same company for the airport transfer in both directions and, once again, it was faultless. All drivers made timely contact and completed both journeys on time and without incident. Everyone was polite and helpful so I would have no hesitation using them again or in recommending them should anyone need guided tours or transport. Thank you!
