Booked for 6 people to celebrate a birthday. It was a short notice booking and valentine's day, so we were happy to secure a table. Looked at the website and the menu shown was good. Lots of choice and a casual burgers, BBQ, fries type of offering. I was looking forward to a vegan burger which sounded really nice (I'm not vegetarian or vegan). We arrived and were shown to a table in the covered outdoor smoking area. Not delighted with being in a smoking area but we were a short notice booking so not to worried about it. It was cold. The heater above us didn't really help so coats were kept on. Again, not too big of a deal. We were left at the table for a little longer than appropriate, so I walked to the bar inside and asked for a server to attend. A server came soon after. The menu we were offered was NOT the menu on the website. This menu was much reduced. No vegan burger on offer. The dishes we ordered were chicken burger, smash burger, pork ribs, chicken wings, boudin balls, Texan smoked beef brisket, Cajun fries. Sides were Mac & cheese and fries included with some of the mains along with "greens". The chicken burger was nice. A large grilled chicken breast, tender & juicy, some cheese, salad leaves, bacon and a nice garlicy sauce on a large brioche bun. I liked it. The smash burger was described as really nice. The chicken wings also described as very nice. The pork ribs, while tasting good weren't as juicy as would have been liked. They are the positives. The Texas Smoked Brisket accompanied by Mac & Cheese and "greens" at €18 was a distant pale imitation of what it claimed to be. Three slices of beef lay, unadorned by any sauce, on a plate beside a small serving of uncooked, limp baby spinach and red chard, the type that comes in a plastic bag preprepared in your local supermarket, over which had been dripped a brown sauce/dressing. On my companion's plate this sauce was dribbled over the beef slices. The beef was NOT smoked, was dry and hard and devoid of any juices. Texan brisket it most certainly was not. Dreadful. No flavour and hard to eat. It was left on the plate. The Mac & Cheese was only ok. Pasta was cooked ok, but the cheese sauce needed seasoning. Some cheese was scattered on the top and not grilled as I would have preferred. The boudin balls, an arrancini type offering with beef brisket through the rice tasted ok. The crumb coating was over fried and too dark. Again, it was a little bland and under seasoned, but that could be my palate and the accompanying bowl of sauce was very nice. Fries were bog standard frozen fries, the Cajun version liberally dusted with a spice mix. Service was a bit sparse, we felt a somewhat neglected at times as we were out in the beer garden. The server was friendly if a little disinterested. When I complained about the beef brisket his response was that he would "tell the chef". The beer garden roof had a leak which dropped on to my head. There was heavy rain that evening, but to be cold and wet in a restaurant?? It was an occasional drip and I was able to reposition my seat to avoid. The bill, had the food been better, was reasonably inexpensive for Dublin city centre. But, apart from one or two exceptions, the food was not good, the response to complaints was not adequate, the seating area was not comfortable, the menu advertised was not available and we, the paying customers, left disappointed.

We visited this pub with its stunning interior décor, arriving just after the kitchen had closed. Despite this, the staff went out of their way to suggest a solution: they encouraged us to grab food from a nearby place (which had no seating) and enjoy it back at the pub. It was such a thoughtful gesture, allowing us to relax with some great beers in their beautifully designed space. The combination of friendly service and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere made for a perfect evening, even without their own food on offer.

Camden Bites and Brews is a great spot to watch a any sports match, even if your team doesn't win. The cocktails are delicious, the bar staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is lively. We managed to get a seat without a booking, but it's worth booking in advance if you're going

I didn't get any food, but the cocktails are phenomenal! They were relatively quiet on a Friday night,

Had a nice and cosy evening, before second wave of covid restrictions rolled in. Staff was friendly, and quick at service. Wings and fries were average. Ambience was nice.
