Begin your underwater journey in the turquoise waters of Cancún and earn your PADI Open Water certification the smart way. Our e-Learning program allows you to complete all the academic theory from home, at your own pace, before you even pack your bags. This modern approach means you arrive in Mexico ready for adventure, skipping the classroom entirely. Your vacation time is for exploring the vibrant Mexican Caribbean, not studying indoors. Your path to becoming a certified scuba diver starts the moment you book, with our instructors guiding you online every step of the way. Your two-day practical training in Cancún is pure underwater exploration. It begins with mastering essential skills in calm, shallow water before you take your first breaths on two incredible ocean dives. You will explore world-renowned sites like the famous Underwater Museum of Art, MUSA, or shallow reefs teeming with marine life. On your second day, you will complete your final two open water dives, possibly venturing to deeper sites and solidifying your confidence. With a personal instructor and a small group, you will transform from a beginner into a certified PADI Open Water Diver. This certification is your lifetime passport to underwater discovery. Once certified in Cancún, a new world of adventure opens up across the Yucatan Peninsula. You will be ready to explore the legendary wall dives of Cozumel, the mystical cenotes of the Riviera Maya, and the stunning coral gardens of Isla Mujeres.

I had an absolutely fantastic weekend doing my orientation dive (and fun dives) with Ocean Divers at Killary Fjord! From the moment I arrived every member of staff and all the other divers were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was supportive and relaxed, making it easy to feel comfortable even if you’re just starting out like me (10 dives previously). There were a lot of divers, but each in small groups with their own dive master or dive instructor and grouped together in the OW/AOW courses or fun dives. While I had already done my OW elsewhere, I’ll definitely be doing the advanced course and further dives with these guys as the level of dedication and commitment that goes into making their students be successful divers is visible. Bring a bit of patience for the initial response period if you reach out during a very busy time - it‘s hard to respond when you’re always in the water 😄 but I honestly can’t recommend them enough if you’re looking to become a good diver and explore Irelands underwater world with a genuinely lovely group of people.

I’m doing the drysuit diver course with Oceandivers at the moment. I was having trouble getting my buoyancy right, so had six pool sessions to get it right at no extra charge!! What a crew Oceandivers have. There was no pressure, just take your time and get it right. Dan is always on hand to help you out and the rest of the lads are so helpful. I had my first sea dive for the buoyancy certification today off Dalkey island. It was fantastic!! The extra lessons really paid off. I cannot recommend the Oceandivers crew highly enough. It is and has been a pleasure working with Oceandivers to get my drysuit certification. Can’t wait to get back in the water with the crew!!

Amazing experience on my Open Water Diving Course with Oceandivers Ireland! The instructors are all professional, patient, and safety-focused. Training was well-structured, with great dive sites and top-notch equipment. Richard was my instructor and had so much patience with us all while also ensuring we had fun too! Highly recommend. I have just completed my Open Water Diver qualification with Oceandivers. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. My instructor Alan was so knowledgeable and really took the time to ensure we were all comfortable with the skills needed. In addition the dive masters on the crew were a great support and help as it was a completely new environment for me, Dan in particular was amazing. I would highly recommend Oceandivers to anyone looking to enter the diving world. Thanks to Alan and his team for a great debut to diving.
