The Appian Way Bike Tour is one of our most captivating experiences, offering a journey along one of Rome's earliest roads. This ancient route, known as the Appian Way, takes you through the renowned Parco dell'Appia Antica, a vital ecological corridor in the heart of Rome. Surrounded by breathtaking nature, this tour weaves together rich history, culture, and art, providing a unique and immersive exploration of one of the most historic landscapes in the world.
The Catacombs of St. Callixtus (included in the 5-hour version) are a key part of this tour. Nestled within the 30-hectare Callistian complex, they represent one of Rome's most significant early Christian sites. Dating back to the late 2nd century, the catacombs were expanded by Pope Callistus I, who made them the official burial site of the Church.
Next, explore the Aqueducts Park, where you’ll witness the marvels of ancient Roman engineering. Six aqueducts converge here, telling the fascinating story of water supply in the ancient city.
A well-deserved break in the Holy Wood offers a peaceful respite, where you can learn about the romantic tale of Egeria and Numa Pompilio while enjoying a delicious Roman lunch box (included in the 5-hour version).
As you ride a top-quality e-bike over this 2,300-year-old path, you’ll journey through a landscape rich with ancient monuments, imperial villas, statues, and tombs. This tour is not only a physical ride but an emotional journey through the heart of ancient Rome.

Great bike tour. I was the only one on it. Very informative and friendly tour guide. (Cant remember his name though. I got to see a part of Rome I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Bernie was a super guide. He really kept us moving and was very fun to talk with when we stopped. The bikes worked as they should. We were put into a group with two other families that were super nice. We represented IL, VA, and FL. Highly recommend this tour!

Had the most wonderful time today with Glen & Sylvia who took us on an afternoon E Bike tour of the Catacombs and then along the Appian Way and past the Aqua ducts. It was a glimpse of Rome we would never have seen by ourselves. The beauty and the history was awesome, and the "Apéritif” provided along the way was ridiculously good. So plentiful and filling that there was no need to go elsewhere to eat after the tour concluded. Seriously, do yourself a favour and book this tour. We could not recommend Glen, Sylvia and their gorgeous dog Peter enough.

Amazing experience!! Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny, electric bikes made the ride very pleasant. We also got to taste authentic Italian cuisine in a lovely restaurant of the countryside. Everything was perfect, we would highly recommend both the tour and the bike company.

Marvelous afternoon, a great time spent out of the city exploring jaw dropping scenery. The ebikes were very fun, it was a nice break after a few days of walking around Rome. Our guide Richard was very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Would recommend to anyone!
