Embark on a fascinating walking tour through the ancient city of Otranto, often referred to as the "Gateway to the East," where layers of Greek, Roman, and Byzantine history intertwine. As you stroll through its charming streets, you’ll explore the city's most iconic landmarks, beginning with the impressive Norman Cathedral. Inside, marvel at the vast and intricate floor mosaic, a masterpiece of medieval art, and pay homage to the bones of the Martyrs of Otranto, solemnly preserved in a side chapel—powerful symbols of the city’s storied past and spiritual resilience.
Your journey continues with a visit to the Castle of Otranto, a formidable fortress that once protected the city from invaders. From its ramparts, enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea, where the horizon seems to stretch endlessly. On clear days, the view becomes even more breathtaking, revealing distant glimpses of Greece and Albania across the water. This combination of rich history and striking natural beauty makes Otranto a truly unforgettable destination.

Wonderful experience, I would highly recommend this to anyone coming to the area. The horses were lovely. We would also advise this for beginners.

What a lovely experience! Beautiful views and scenery and beautiful horses! A must do if you love horses and want to see some hidden landscapes of Otranto. The panoramic hack was lovely and chilled. Horses were well behaved and safe! No spooking at all. They also do a sportif hack which is for experienced riders where you can trot and canter which I have also booked on for. Highly recommend! Staff are lovely ( English not great but you don't really need it )

Had the most amazing experience! Really kind and attentive guides and well taken care of horses. Do not miss it! Thank you for an unforgettable ride! ❤️

Our Amercian ladies had a wonderful morning ride! The lovely horse behaved perfectly 🥰

Fantastic experience! Our first time riding horses. It was brilliant, we were taken care of by the people at the Tumara horse riding club who took us out on a horse trek around Otranto. We went to the cava da bauxite and through the countryside up and down the hills. Amazing views of the bay and fantastic countryside. We had an english speaking guide, very experienced horse trainers. Highly recommend to everyone to take a horse riding tour when in Otranto.
