A fantastic tour through Florence's known and unknown gems. Incredibly dedicated, knowledgeable, and friendly guide. We took this tour on our first day in Florence and it was a great idea. We got to know the city really well and took pictures of Antonio's hidden gems - things we should see and experience in Florence. Thanks for a great trip, Antonio😀

We ended up in a private tour with Antonio since we were the only one scheduled for the time slot. This was fantastic since Antonio was able to go at our pace, especially with my mother who has difficulty walking long distances and needed to rest/sit from time to time. Antonio was very knowledgeable and imparted a lot of insights. Overall, we enjoyed the experience. Thank you!

Michelangelo's craftsmanship is evident in every detail, from the elegant architecture to the striking sculptures of the tombs. His statues of Dawn, Dusk, Night, and Day, which adorn the tombs of Lorenzo and Giuliano de’ Medici, are among the most powerful and expressive works of the Renaissance. The way he captured human emotion, movement, and anatomy is simply awe-inspiring.

What an impressive space! You get up close to real Michelangelo sculptures. The Day - Night and the Dawn - Dusk are such inspiring pieces, it puts you in awe! This place deserves such quiet contemplation. It is one of my favorite chapels to visit in Firenze.

The wealth of the Medici and the talent and genius of Michaelangelo are on full display. I admit to being brought to the history of the Medici family and Florence through the TV series. Having been drawn in by those dramatizations, it was remarkable to be here in the city where they lived and of course at Sagrestia Nuova, the Chapel of Princes and the Medici crypt, where they were interred. You will likely find it necessary to sit and reflect, perhaps behind the altar in the sacristy, on the grandeur of the Medici and the absolute brilliance of Michaelangelo. April 11, 2024 C & J

This is one of my favourite churches to visit the Sam Lorenzo complex is absolutely stunning. The church, cloisters, museums are absolutely amazing so is the Medici chapel. The architecture is amazing and the tombs are wonderful to see. There’s lots to do and see here, I really enjoyed the time I spent here. I would definitely recommend visiting the San Lorenzo complex.

This mausoleum for two of the more famous Medici (Lorenzo and Giuliano) was started by Michaelangelo in 1520 and completed around 1533. Large, beautifully carved in marble, graves take up two walls. It also contains a small altar space and a large, pencil drawing on the wall.
