We are huge fans. We dined here 4 times during our Florence trip - a testament to how incredible this place is. Writing a second review because it’s so well deserved. During our 2nd visit, we ordered - Spaghetti Alla Carrettiera (absolute fave. 2nd time ordering this. loved that it was really tomato-forward with subtle herby notes) Grilled Prawns (off the menu but they kindly prepared the prawns for us) Fritto Di Pollo E Patate Fritte (2nd time ordering this) Spaghetti alla Carbonara (lusciously creamy and beautifully balanced with a generous amount of crispy guanciale) Torta Di Mele Con Crema Mascarpone (2nd time ordering this. loved that it was warm and delicately textured with just the right amount of sweetness) Francesca once again treated us to her signature warm hospitality - Prosecco and Pappa Al Pomodoro to start, and almond biscuits with dessert wine to finish. She showed us how to enjoy the biscuits by dipping them into the wine and we loved it! During our 3rd visit, we ordered - Bruschetta Al Pomodoro Spaghetti Alla Carrettiera (it’s an obsession at this point) Fritto Di Pollo E Patate Fritte (3rd time ordering this. juicy fried chicken and best fried potatoes ever) Tagliata Di Pollo Alla Griglia Con Insalata Tiramisu de Pucci Francesca recommended a Chianti on our first visit and it was so good that we had it twice. We decided to switch things up and once again, her recommendation was perfect - a smooth and medium-bodied wine that was simply delicious. We were treated to Amaro shots after our meal and left feeling full, content and happily buzzed 🥰 During our 4th and last visit, we ordered - La Bistecca alla Fiorentina (parents usually aren’t fans of beef and we’d had some underwhelming Fiorentina steaks elsewhere - but we absolutely loved this one! it was juicy, tender and full of flavour) Spaghetti Alla Carrettiera (best spaghetti alla carrettiera ever. period. i miss this beautiful pasta so much.) Linguine All’astice (fresh lobster in a luxurious bisque and cherry tomato sauce, truly indulgent. this was SO delicious that i ordered 2 servings. really regret not trying this earlier) For dessert, Francesca surprised us with a complimentary cheese cake topped with pistachio cream and a beautiful mascarpone cream dessert enriched with strawberries and amaretti cookies. What a thoughtful gesture 🥹 It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable evening and our time in Florence. The seamless combination of outstanding food and impeccable service is what makes this place so special. We were seated by Francesca who turned out to be the star of the night. The service was impeccable throughout the entire meal. She was friendly, attentive and SO kind. We kicked off the night with refreshing welcome Prosecco drinks. She kindly offered us Pappa Al Pomodoro to try and suggested tasting it with olive oil - it was delicious! She also recommended a wonderful Chianti wine which paired well with every dish. For dinner, we ordered 1. Bruschetta Al Pomodoro 2. Spaghetti Alla Carrettiera 3. Risotto Con Pesto Genovese, Gamberi Rossi E Riduzione Di Pomodorini Freschi 4. Fritto Di Pollo E Patate Fritte 5. Polpo Con Crema Di Piselli, Pomodorini E Salsa Ai Frutti Di Bosco The food was prepared with great care and each dish burst with outstanding flavour. Even the Patate Fritte was SO crunchy and delicious that we ordered 2 servings. For dessert, we ordered Torta Di Mele Con Crema Mascarpone. It was warm, moist and well balanced. Francesca also graciously included a complimentary pistachio panna cotta - her personal favourite - and it was SO good. PLEASE ORDER THIS. We absolutely loved our dinner at Cantina de’ Pucci! Our waitress, Deborah, was exceptional — knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the menu and wine list. She took the time to walk us through each dish and the wine options, helping us choose the perfect pairings to complement our meal. The ambience was warm, romantic, and intimate — the kind of place where you can relax and truly savor every bite. I thought the steak I had the night before elsewhere was the best I’d ever had, but the filet at Cantina de’ Pucci completely changed that! It was perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and absolutely to die for — a true five-star experience. The pork tenderloin was equally outstanding, with rich, flavorful meat that was beautifully seasoned — not just coated in sauce. Everything, from the atmosphere to the impeccable service and perfectly paired wines, made this an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend making a reservation — this is a meal you don’t want to miss!
We had two fantastic meals here. We happened upon it around lunchtime and took a chance on it. The food and service were wonderful, so we made a reservation for the following night for dinner. Everything was fantastic. At dinner they gave us a complementary glass of prosecco at start and then we enjoyed steak and pasta, with a lovely bottle of Brunello di Montalcino. The service was so good, we felt like we were the only patrons in the restaurant. I highly recommend eating here!
Best restaurant in Florence, HANDS DOWN. Angela is so sweet and the food is AMAZING. I will dream about this place forever. I would come back to Italy just for this place alone. Angela, thank you for making my time here so special. I have been here three times since my trip started. No other restaurant can compare in service and quality. Everything from the bread, to the soup, to the pasta - incredible. Thank you so much. I have never finished my plate before until I came here.
