Pulau Macan Eco Lodge delivers in terms of easy access to beautiful nature, very good service with friendly staff and nice food with plenty of protein options. However I’m leaving a review of only 3 stars, because of the mosquito nets that are badly designed and cannot be closed, which really damaged our sleep. We stayed in one of the rooms with direct access to the ocean which is amazing, however, there is no door (only a curtain for privacy) or walls in this room. So the room is quite open, which is beautiful. But how is it possible that the mosquito nets don’t close properly? My friend had beetles flying around her at night and couldn’t sleep, we were also smashed by mosquitos. This hotel is not cheap, so I wasn’t expecting that. A well functioning mosquito net is the minimum that I expected. We stayed for 2 nights. The second night, the staff gave us clips to properly close the mosquito net. I hope this review helps Pulau Macan invest in proper mosquito nets, as this really changed our experience, since we couldn’t sleep properly at night.

Me and my partner had an amazing time at the beach! The clear, refreshing water was perfect for swimming or strolling along the shoreline. The breathtaking sunset painted the sky with shades of gold, pink, and purple, creating a surreal view. The beach was clean and well-kept, offering ample space to unwind. It’s ideal for relaxation, fun outings with family , or romantic evenings. The staffs and the manager are very approachable. They also showed genuine hospitality, taking time to check in and ask if everything was okay without ever being intrusive. This island is a true gem—peaceful, scenic, and charming. It makes you forget about time and immerse yourself in the moment. We’ll definitely return soon!
Probably some of the best views you can find. Great place to disconnect and just enjoy nature at it's finest. Prices are all inclusive, so you can enjoy activities such as snorkeling, canoeing and board games. There are corals all around and they even own another small island accessible by canoeing on your own, which has brilliant corals. Probably the only thing missing is hot water for showers. Staff are super friendly and food is good. Overall, this is a hidden gem waiting to be explored. P.S. If you're lucky(or unlucky depending on your tastes), you can even spot local, harmless monitor lizards lazing about.
Perfect short getaway! Pulau Macan is the best choice for a weekend getaway. The access is easy, just around 2 hr speedboat ride from Ancol. The atmosphere is very peaceful, perfect for those who want to "heal." The place is very clean, the sea water is clear, and the sunset view is incredible. The staff are friendly and the food provided is delicious. Highly recommended for a private vacation that isn't far from Jakarta!
