Our flight was delayed overnight and we found this hotel on Google Maps. The reviews seemed good and it was close to the airport. While everyone there was very friendly, the room itself was best described as “janky”. Dim lighting, AC that was “ok”, and a bathroom (with a filthy shower that didn’t drain) that smelled like a litter box. I hate writing bad reviews, but Google really let us down on this one.
We really liked this place. Colorful rooms and easy access to go for dinner and an easy walk to the airport. The owners are freaking the best . Sheri's cooking is off the charts . Fresh homemade lasagna and garlic toast and their fish and chips are absolutely mouth watering. Lionel picked us up at the ferry and brought us to hotel and took us to the airport, the nicest people on earth ❤️❤️❤️
Tropical Storm Sara brought me to this lovely hotel. The owners were very accommodating and made sure I was doing okay during my stay. My room and AC were great and food excellent! I'd highly recommend staying here.
A quick (and safe) 5 minute walk from the airport, the Airport Inn is one of only a few budget friendly places you can stay at that offers reliable online booking. The owners Sheri and Leonel are real entrepreneurs, speak English and Spanish and where super accommodating, relaxed, and happy to share recommendations of where to eat and what to visit on the island. I used Leonel‘s taxi services a couple of times and could not have been happier. He was always on time for pick up and even waited with me when customs formalities took a while. The room was clean but spartan (simple bed, table, bathroom, shower) in comparison to western standards. But it had all that I needed and the presence of AC and a flatscreen TV may be above-standard features (I am not sure). I brought some ear plugs and had no trouble falling asleep although the AC as well as a party outside were on the noisier side. In the morning, Sheri offered a breakfast and coffee which looked and tasted fantastic! I would not hesitate coming back the next time visiting Roatan! Thank you Sheri & Leonel
Great for an overnight stay before your flight. Second to none service-wise. Shaquirra was amazing. We had almost a full day when we got there. Rooms were ready early. We got our bags into the room and then Leonel drove us to a beach club for the afternoon and picked us up later. So fun! We ordered pizza. My hubby sat down in the outdoor table area and played guitar/sang and we had a pizza party with Sheri, Leonel and another guest or two. So much fun. We wanted to be at the airport super early for our flight so we said no breakfast. But the beautiful Miss Sheri had plates of breaky ready for us at 6:00 a.m. anyway. Eggs, bacon, homemade homefries and coffee. So sweet. Loved or short, but sweet, stay. 👍🙂💛
