Salvador collected my wife and I from the hotel and took us to the working olive museum. It was very informative tour . Very friendly. Had coffee on arrival. Sampled two types of olive oil with bread and also cheese and salad. Learnt about the acidity and different uses of olive oil. We were then driven to see a 1500 year old olive tree(mother tree) where Salvador carried on the tour. He was Very friendly and passionate about the olive history. We then drove to a nearby castle which was also interesting to learn about.we bought a few gifts there but due to a power cut,due to a storm the night before, we had to use cash. Well worth a visit
We had a wonderful experience at The Govenor’s Olive Mill. We were made to feel very welcome by all the family, lovely people. The tour was conducted by Irini, she made it really informative and enjoyable and it was one of the finest tours we have ever experienced. But the icing on the cake was we were invited to stay-on for an extra 30 minutes to sample the Olive Oil freshly-pressed from the mill as we watched, and it was delicious! We cannot recommend a visit to Govenor’s highly enough, it was a real highlight of our visit to Corfu.
We had a wonderful experience at the Olive Museum! The staff were very kind and welcoming, and they let us taste different olive oils. Everything was delicious and well explained. It’s also great that you can have their products shipped to your country — perfect if you don’t have a big suitcase with you. Highly recommended!
My boyfriend suggested this experience because it was raining and I admit I was a bit sad because I wanted to go the beach…I’m glad we had a rainy day in our trip - I LOVE THE TOUR AND THE TASTING 😍😍😍 Andriana was AMAZING! She is very very very nice and friendly, explained everything well and in a funny and catchy way! I was a bit apprehensive of tasting olive oil but I truly enjoyed it! Moreover, the snacks were very nice! This week, in my hometown, I tried chocolate mousse with a pump of olive up, as Andriana suggested us and what a good advice! Besides that, I want to do a home tasting for family 🤣 I truly recommend this tour & tasting experience with “The Governor”
Visiting The Governor Olive Mill was one of our favorite activities in Corfu. Learning about the island’s history and the process of making olive oil was fascinating. We tasted some of the best olive oil we’ve ever had, and our guide made the experience truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this tour. At the end, we purchased some skincare products—they smell wonderful. We’re so glad we booked the visit, and Mitera, the “mother of the olives,” was truly impressive.
