Very scenic region with a small beach and awesome views of the loch and Ben Lomond. Small pier goes into the loch for boat trips. Luss is a very pretty village with narrow streets and interesting rows of small houses. Luss is a picturesque conservation village in Scotland, located on the western shore of Loch Lomond within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It is known for its well-preserved 18th and 19th-century sandstone cottages, charming pier, and vibrant floral displays, serving as both a popular day trip destination and a gateway for exploring the stunning natural surroundings of the loch and surrounding hills. The village sits on the banks of Loch Lomond, offering beautiful views, boat trips, and a pier for leisurely walks and observing the islands on the loch.

Beautiful town and beach! If getting public transport on a weekend or sunny day leave loads of time as the bus from balloch is super super busy and very small!

I went mainly for Kayaking. The place offered more than just Kayaking. If you are beginner into Kayaking, 1hr will not be enough as you might struggle at first. By the time you reach the island, enjoy some swimming and coming, most like it will exceed the time. If you hate wet clothes, don't forget to get wet suits too. We saw people with tent, enjoying bbq by the beach side. So, if you are visiting try to take food, other things like mat, etc. I didn't find the changing room but there is public washroom near the bus stop (7 mins walk from the beach) where you can change, if you want.

It's a really beautiful place. The views are amazing and the Loch is gigantic. We crossed the whole thing in Kayak from Luss Beach shore to the other and then came back, an amazing experience. It was clean and there were not many boat users and I really appreciate that so the contamination levels don't go higher. The water isn't that cold so you can swim perfectly fine and barbecue with your friends and family.
