This pub tour was exactly the "real Ireland" experience I was looking for. Shane was absolutely wonderful! He was funny, knowledgeable and engaging. He took us out into the suburbs to 3 quaint pubs. We tried new spirits, chatted with locals, learned some fun history and even got to experience some wonderful music. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get out of the city and experience the small town atmosphere of Ireland.
I would highly recommend the rural pub tour to anyone. The pubs we went to were amazing and it was great getting out of the city. Shane was an amazing guide and we had a blast!
I had such a great time on this pub crawl, which included 6 great pubs (some with live music). The guide has such a fun, hilarious personality, and it was neat to see him interact with his friends and locals in the pubs in an area where he was born and raised. The food at the third pub was also excellent. I highly recommend this tour and would absolutely go again.
An absolute must do in Dublin! This tour was our favorite thing we did in Dublin - and it might just be our favorite thing we have done in all of our two weeks in Ireland! Our tour guide, Shane, was not only a wealthy of knowledge, but he was hilarious and all of us left smiling. The pubs were lovely and definitely not something you will see in the city - however the drive to them was not bad at all. 11/10 HIGHLY recommend this tour!
We are Dublin locals, and we still love joining Shane’s rural pub tours! They’re a perfect mix of tour (history facts), scenery (gorgeous views driving through the mountains), local knowledge (pub songs), and fun. Shane has a great relationship with the small pubs his groups visit, so you feel welcome from the moment you step in the door. Every pub we tried was unique, but they were all wonderful in their own way. During a recent tour we visited 6 pubs, saw two live music performances, sang in a music session, enjoyed several pints, had an authentic pub meal, chatted with several locals, and learned 5 new pub songs all within a few hours.
