The Doctor Who Cardiff Bay Walking Tour is an exciting experience for fans of the iconic British sci-fi series. Set in the vibrant Cardiff Bay, this tour explores the area that has been central to the show’s production since its 2005 revival. Starting just outside the Wales Millennium Centre, visitors will see locations from episodes such as New Earth, The Girl Who Waited, The Sound of Drums, and Vincent and the Doctor. Roald Dahl Plass, a spacious public plaza, frequently doubled as the entrance to the underground Torchwood Hub and has been the site of many thrilling chases and pivotal moments. As you stroll along the waterfront, your guide will highlight scenes from various episodes, sharing insights into how the area has been transformed into alien worlds and futuristic settings.

The tour also includes the striking exterior of the Senedd, home to the Welsh Parliament, which has appeared in episodes including The Lazarus Experiment. Its modern architecture provides the perfect backdrop for scenes of political intrigue and alien invasions. You will also visit the exterior of the BBC Studios at Roath Lock, home to Doctor Who since 2005, where much of the filming takes place. Along the way, your guide will provide fascinating behind-the-scenes stories, helping fans appreciate the creativity and detail involved in bringing the show to life. This walking tour offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Doctor Who while exploring the lively Cardiff Bay area.

Great walking tour in Cardiff! Eugene was an excellent guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and full of fun stories about the city. Learned a lot and really enjoyed the pace. Highly recommended!

I took the Free tour of Cardiff with Eugene which lasted a bit over 2 hours. We had a nice group that day due to a Rugby game that was happening that afternoon. The tour was well paced and very informative. Eugene was happy to answer any questions and did his best to keep us in dry areas on that rainy day.

I went on the regular Cardiff walking tour and the Cardiff Bay tour last month, both of which were led by Eugene. It was my first time to Wales and Cardiff (with minimal time to sightsee) and these tours provided the perfect amount of detail and background on the history of the city. Definitely check it out!

Bristol is a beautiful, vibrant city filled with history and much to enjoy and learn about. On this easy walk, Joann not only led the group to the best highlights of the city but she also shared historical facts and tossed in interesting storiies and humorous factoids. Her tour made us wish to spend more time in this great English destination.

Our tour guide Eugene was amazing. He has been the best tour guide we have had yet. He was so knowledgeable of all the Dr Who episodes and showed us so many locations that we were in Wow every time. What I liked the most about him was that he engaged with my son by asking him direct questions like "what is your favorite episode" or "which Dr is your favorite". This helpped my son come out of his shell as he is very quiet and didn't know what to expect from the tour. My son is a big Dr. Who fan and that is why we went to Cardiff and booked this tour. My son is still talking about the tour weeks after coming back. We just bought the 13th Dr Who series with Jodie Whittaker and in the very 1st episode the police station that Eugene showed us was in it! My son yelled "That's the police station" before I could even take it in. Eugene really did his research and showed us more then we could even imagine. Thank you Eugene for being a great tour guide and now a friend. If you are thinking of booking this tour you should do it quick before it gets full.
