Join other fans on an All Creatures Great and Small Tour that explores filming locations from both the latest Channel 5 adaptation and the original BBC series from the 1970s. This full day mini coach tour begins in central York and takes you through the picturesque Yorkshire Dales while visiting more than fifteen locations featured over the years. Your first stop is the World of James Herriot, the original home of the stories and an award winning visitor attraction included in the tour. You will also enjoy stops at the Drovers Arms, the spot where James proposed to Helen, the Darrowby Bus Stop, the wedding location, and Darrowby Station. The journey continues to Hawes where you will see filming sites such as Darrowby Church, Darrowby Cattle Market, Darrowby Country Club, and Skeldale House, the famous veterinary practice.
You will take lunch in Hardraw at a pub featured in many episodes of the new series. The tour then heads to the remote village that represents the fictional Darrowby in the latest adaptation. Here you can enjoy refreshments and join your guide for a short walking tour of key filming locations, including the exterior of the Drovers Arms, G F Endleby Grocers, Handleys Booksellers, Darrowby Cycle Shop, Darrowby Hardwares, Skeldale House, and J A Dean Drapers. The day concludes with a scenic return to central York.
