We experienced the magic of Las Morades de San Martin while on a trip to Spain to celebrate our mother - the beautiful matriarch of our family. The three sisters and our mom had an afternoon tour scheduled with Monica. By the end our mom wanted to adopt Monica as her fourth daughter! She was so warm and welcoming and taught us so much about ecological wine-making. The winery is set amongst the mountains and looked like something out of a dream. We were here at the beginning of June so the vineyards were lush and green. I know many people like to visit wineries during harvest season, but if you prefer to avoid the crowds and still get an incredible experience you might consider early June in Spain. Now the wines? Exceptional! The all-natural process is evident in the taste, the smell…even the look. We didn’t want the tasting to end, but since everything must - we bought many bottles to take back with us. Cannot recommend Las Morades de San Martin highly enough. Thank you, Monica, for making our visit so special…especially for our mom!

We went to Las Moradas two weeks ago! Beware, San Martin Valdeiglesias is a small town. As a result, there isn’t a large transportation/taxi infrastructure like other large cities. Definitely call a taxi ahead of time to get to Las Moradas. The number is here: 34 608 72 68 13 Unfortunately, my wife and I weren’t aware of this necessity. We arrived at the bus station and had to wait 30 minutes for a taxi to the vineyard. We ended up getting there 30 minutes late for our tour. Despite this, Monica was incredibly flexible about it. Now, for the experience. Monica is an amazing host. Her knowledge of wines and terroir is exceptional! You can feel her passion for the work she does. She guided us around the property for about an hour, showing us hundred-year-old vines and beautiful foliage. The backdrop against the mountains and plains is stunning. I can’t imagine how beautiful the region is during the springtime. Now, for the wines. Absolutely amazing! My wife and I are big wine nerds. We genuinely loved every bottle we tried. The Albillo Real was unlike anything we have ever tasted before. And the reds were wonderful. The selection is very small. But that doesn’t matter when the quality of each wine is extremely high. Overall, this was an amazing experience. If you enjoy wine, definitely check this place out. Lucky for us, we found a local wine store close to where we live that sells Senda! And we can actually buy their Albillo Real online! We will be buying this in bulk. Thanks again, Monica. You were wonderful.

Despite the rocky road leading to the rustic and humble vineyard, the tour is grand, the wines are smooth, and Monica was a delightful guide. Make sure to stop and smell the rosemary.

This is a perfect place! First of all, Monika was so nice and helpful. The tour at the winery itself and at the vineyards was really professional and fun. The wines and the cheeses were special and really tasty! The prices are really low: the tour costs only 20 euro and the bottles of the wine between 12.5 to 20 euro.

Alejandro is the best!
