The Dalí Museum in Figueres is a captivating journey through the life and creative evolution of Salvador Dalí, one of the most celebrated artists of the 20th century. The tour continues to the charming city of Girona, a place steeped in history and cultural richness. Here, traces of ancient civilizations remain visible in the city’s architecture and streets. Visitors can admire the Roman sculpture of “La Lleona,” stroll past the colorful houses along the Onyar River, and visit the impressive Girona Cathedral, a magnificent example of Catalan Gothic style. The old fortifications tell stories of battles and resilience, while the Jewish Quarter, or Call, enchants with its narrow, winding lanes and arched courtyards. On the way back, a stop at the Sant Rafael lighthouse reveals the wild beauty of the Costa Brava, where you can enjoy breathtaking views and a pleasant walk along the famous coastal path, the Camí de Ronda.

Fantastic place! Well organised guided visits. Beautiful experience and you understand why Dalì was so genius in his era.
Very interesting place!!! Incredible to be in one of the places where Dalí lived and the work he did himself to make the house so special. The view from the “Yellow room” was amazing, perfectly designed with a mirror on the left side of it to reflect the sunrise 🌅 in his bed. The circular room (not sure it had a name) had a surprisingly weird surround system like, in its very center, can’t explain it, you have to go and experience it for yourself. Must mention our tour guide Cristina who provided the nice tour full of interesting information. A must do while in Cadaqués.
I bought our tickets about two months in advance so we were ready. What we were not ready for was how cool the house was!! We had a friendly guide where took us through and spoke English and French to the rest. I loved that they had lockers free of charge available for larger bags. Also the Caffe by the entrance has a cute balcony on the top floor and tables outside. It was uplifting to soak up the local atmosphere.
Visited without booking and we could not get tickets to enter house as it was fully booked so recommend booking before going. We visited the gardens though, ticket 6 euro and well worth a visit as it has a lot of Dali's touches. Also bar and beach for a beer, coffee and stroll amongst the boats.
Cool experience! Be sure to book tickets well in advance during the tourist season (July-August) because they can be booked out a week or two. A ticket gives you a timed-entry to Dali’s beautiful, funky, artistic, and historic home and olive grove garden just outside of Cadaques, about 20-30 minutes walking from the center of town, along a beautiful route that does include a very steep hill. You’ll get a ~30 minute tour of the inside of the house, which is exactly as Dali left it (for reasons you will have to find out). Also, the pool is shaped in an interesting way… prepare to be confused, amazed, and intrigued 🙂

I loved Besalu
Good variety of activities and less time wasted by using train. However, apparently the agency had an issue and had to switch the guide at the last minute. The guide did the best she could, but was not an expert in some of the areas visited, Also, they swapped another couple from their original date to our tour at the last minute due to availability issues with the company/guide, so couldn't get entrance tickets to the museum at the same time as the rest of us. This resulted in us having some wasted time (30-45 mins) at Figueres, which is a nice town, but really doesn't have the type of activity that really benefits from it. Later on, we were extremely pressed for time in Girona, actually just catching the train after a 20-minute brisk march with the help of the station attendant who rushed down the escalators to hold the train for us. With that wasted time back, we could have had a more relaxed time in Girona and seen more. Also tour company communication was poor.
