A cave located very close to the Sanctuary of the Virgen de los Reyes (between 100 and 150 meters). This is not a simple cave, but rather reveals remains of what life was like for shepherds on the island of El Hierro in the past. The path connects with several trails that lead to the Dehesa de Sabinas or the Descent of the Virgin trail, which takes place every four years on the island.

It's very close to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Kings. It takes just a few minutes to walk from there. You can see a bit of history in the form of stones.

Located about 120 meters from the Hermitage of Our Lady of the Kings, this was the first place where the Virgin was kept, when, back in 1546, she was left behind by a ship bound for America, in gratitude to the shepherds who offered them the necessary supplies to continue their journey. Shepherds spent the night in these caves and found shelter while tending to the livestock grazing in La Dehesa.
