Ok so the fee is a bit high, but know before you go. I’m staying at the hotel, so it was a short walk through a cool forest and an amazing swim in pool accented with blue geothermal (warm) water. Would totally do it again!

TOURIST TRAP !!!!!!Unfortunately we couldn’t get to see the waterfall since it was a private property and only Hotel guest were allowed to get in.Me and my family should have paid 17$ each as a fee :/ There were no signs that showed it was private property, they told us after we arrived. We had to walk about mile on boring hilly course.

The waterfall is somewhat smaller than expected. To get here you first pay the entrance fee to the park and then have to pay for each attraction again individually. The whole area is zoned out and operated by Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin it seems like. Quite confusing. It's a easy walking trail in not really a hike however there are lots of horse dumps and can get quite muddy. It has a very nice bathroom and some beautiful butterflies.

We went to the Rincon de la Vieja National Park in July. After visiting the thermal mud holes and fumes, we stopped at the Chorreras waterfall on the way out. We parked on the main access road of the hacienda. There is a sign pointing people to the waterfall path. We walked the 1km path towards the falls. The path is muddy, and full of horse feces. Once we reached the bottom we found out that there is a $16 charge per person the go to the falls. It would have been nice to know about entrance fees prior to walking down the long path. We did not access the falls but turned around.

Beautiful place to visit and explore for the day. The waterfall and hot springs were such a gorgeous experience.
