Overall, a pleasant lunch experience with my mother at Fouquet’s! The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. We chose to sit outside, the area was nicely shaded with a lovely breeze. The food was exquisite. The fresh mini baguette with butter was a delightful start. We ordered one full-course lunch set and one à la carte meal. The octopus appetizer was fresh and flavorful, and I especially enjoyed the touch of fermented onion. The green salad was generous and packed with ingredients - kale, olives, and baby peppers among them. For mains, we had the Omani shrimps and the lamb. We weren’t asked how we preferred the lamb cooked, and it arrived slightly undercooked for our taste, which was a bit disappointing. The shrimp, however, was outstanding - the coconut curry sauce was rich and captivating. Dessert was the cherry on top: a delicious profiterole with ice cream and chocolate sauce, paired with two long espressos. It would have easily been a 5-star experience if not for the first impression. The hostess who seated us made us feel slightly unwelcome - she suggested we go to the other café when we asked to see the à la carte menu instead of the business lunch menu, though we only wanted to compare options. She also initially seated us at a small table close to the sun, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. We later moved ourselves to a more comfortable shaded four-seater. The other waiters were very nice and helpful. Despite the rocky start, the food and overall ambiance made for a lovely lunch.
Fouquet's Abu Dhabi is located within the Louvre complex. The venue is stylish and impressive in the extreme. The service is cheerful and attentive. I chose to eat lightly - two starter. They were both delicious - the beef carpaccio portion was very generous. I should separately mention the house champagne - it was particularly yummy. ...a memory to treasure.
I celebrated my birthday on August 15th at Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi, and it was an amazing experience! I was especially impressed by the politeness and professionalism of the staff – both the manager and the waiters were very attentive and made the celebration even more enjoyable. The interior is stylish yet very cozy, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you to the whole team for the excellent service and unforgettable mood!
The experience was good overall. The food was flavourful and perfectly cooked. Danushka was very attentive and did a great job with the flambé. All the other staff were also very friendly and helpful. The paper stuck up on the window was the only detractor.
The food was good but the restaurant is abit warm considering the summer sun at the time we dine in around 4pm. The security screening was unexpected as we began to take photos thinking it was the enterance but it was the security screening area where the security was very unfriendly to greet us. I think you should put someone at the security or put the sign there to warn the customer that security area no photos or camera.
