The people was so nice, the place not really that breath taking.. One thing I advise, use the main road when going here as we tried to picked a shorter route from Besakih Temple to this place just to same some 3-4 kilometers but it was a nightmare as the road becomes rough, and there's a point where we travers a downhill road totally offroad, too dangerous. The main road even though a bit farther like 3-4 km farther have more safer road pavement..

A must visit place when you are in Bali. Though it seems artificial as it is handled so well but the fall is really so mesmerising and not so deep. A water shoes/crocks are highly recommended though there are so many shops who sells these items at good price. The entry charge is IDR 30000.00 irrespective of your nationality. There is a small waterfall as well and a swimming pool.

Absolutely one of the most magical waterfalls in Bali! 🌿✨ Tucked inside a hidden canyon near Bangli, Tukad Cepung Waterfall feels like something out of a fairytale. The walk down takes about 10–15 minutes — a mix of stairs, rocks, and shallow river crossings — but every step is worth it once you reach the bottom. The waterfall sits inside a cave-like opening where the sunlight streams through the top, creating beautiful rays of light that dance in the mist. It’s a photographer’s dream — and even more breathtaking in person. Go early in the morning (before 10 a.m.) for the best light and to avoid the crowds. You’ll need to wade through ankle- to knee-deep water, so bring sandals or water shoes, and maybe a dry change of clothes if you want to stand under the falls. 💦 There are a few local stalls near the parking area selling fresh coconut water, snacks, and souvenirs, and the locals are always friendly and welcoming. Entrance is very affordable, and the area is kept clean and well maintained. The combination of nature, adventure, and tranquility makes it one of my favorite spots in Bali. If you’re exploring waterfalls like Tegenungan or Kanto Lamp, make sure to add Tukad Cepung to your list — it’s unique, peaceful, and truly unforgettable.

Access to the waterfall is quite exciting and requires some physical fitness, as the stairs are steep and the steps are high, you also have to go through the water flowing from the waterfall, and you climb over rocks or crawl between rocks to reach your destination. The current of the river took one of my sandals with it, so I had to buy new sandals that were also sold near the waterfall...so this was not the first time, so be careful with your shoes when going to the waterfall because the current is strong. There are also places to eat there. It is worth going because the journey to it is already an experience in itself and of course the waterfall itself is worth seeing.

Once you park your vehicle a the parking where there are souvenir shops, you have to walk and climb steps down atleast for 25-30 minutes to reach the waterfall. Once you the bottom of the valley , you can either go left to the waterfall that is shown on instagram or other side where you can bathe. When we reached the cave area, there was along line . People were going into the cave one by one, getting pictures clicked and coming back and then the next couple or person was going. I think we had to stand for 1 1/2 to 2 hours before our turn came. You cant bathe under the waterfall, it is too forceful. You can just get clicked there. We went in the evening around 4pm and our turn came around 5.30 or 6pm and it wasnt bright. Thats why i read somewhere that the best time to go is 10am in the morning. There are changing rooms, toilet and they also rent towels on charging basis.
