Wonderful place in pure nature. Under restauration. Lovely, quiet, spiritual. Wonderful exterior and interior decoration paintings. Small but beautiful. Worth going, a very traditional and cultural place.
Place looks very old and has a certain charm. Unfortunately it was closed and couldn't look inside. Worth a look.
Near Veliko Tarnovo! ⛪ 🕯️ A very beautiful and powerfully moving place. The church is like a little jewel, the paints are made of natural materials, painted by Zahari Zograf. 🎨 One of the most moving Bulgarian frescoes is also located here - The Wheel of Life.🙆♂️ This is the fourth largest monastery in Bulgaria after the Rila, Bachkovo and Troyan monasteries.🙏 If you have a way to Tarnovo, be sure to visit this holy place.✝️.
The view of the surrounding mountains is truly magnificent. The small chapel is currently undergoing renovation, but the beauty of its mural and icons is evident. Overall, the monastery complex appears quite run down. It's very unfortunate that it hasn't been restored.
Stunning hidden gem just a few minutes drive from Tarnovo and Arbanasi. The natural scenery which surrounds this historical monastery is breathtaking, with forests, cliffs and fascinating geological formations. The complex itself is absolutely stunning. You could spend hours just looking at the beauty of the church and Zoograf’s frescoes. The custodians are very kind and do their best to maintain the monument with the resources at their disposal. A must visit for those in search of peace and true Bulgarian beauty.
