Wonderful historic site, very well maintained and suitable for children. In the warm spring and summer months there are activities and games with educational purpose. Also the staff is very friendly and shares interesting information. If you buy a combined ticket you can also visit the Mezek tomb which is small but very well preserved.

A very well preserved and restored byzantine fortress from XI century AD. It is situated near the village of Mezzek, you could take the road by car or hike (there is a small trail in the forest just north east of the ruins, starts at one of the road bends, takes about 15 minutes from the village). Also there are remnants of a WWII bunker built into the fortress walls. Cool stuff. Recommended!
