Great guide that knows her history about the city
Poli was our guide, It is hard to convey with words what a great experience it was. She is not only knowledgeable and pleasant. The tour was entertaining, educating, and the tips she gave us to enjoy the city of Varna were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this tour.
Excellent tour. Pauline was amazing - vast knowledge, super positive attitude, very intelligent and informative and we discovered a lot of new facts we had no idea about. It is a must in order to get to know this interesting city. Such a pity so many people visit and miss this tour.
We had a great and memorable free walking tour of Varna with local guide Hristina Nedelcheva. For us she is the best tour guide in Varna and Bulgaria.
July 2019: Tour was led by Christina who was accompanied by her young son. She wore sunglasses, so her explanations were worse for lack of eye contact. I appreciated that there was no long generic history of Bulgaria at the beginning (as you get with other tours). She ensured that we always stood in the shade. The route was flat, suitable for all ages. She stopped the tour an hour early at the Planetarium, so we didn't see half the items listed on the tour website. She recommended a couple of cheap-looking restaurants on the way, and then at the end handed out advertisements for her own private tour company. The Varna guides are paid government employees, so no tip required. If it weren't free, I would not recommend Christina's tour.
