Rooms were simple but clean, beds comfortable. TV with only 5 Bulgarian channels, very nice view and easy to reach. At night I felt very cold. Food not so good but edible. The person at the buffet tends to argue or make strange jokes.
Good place for a good night's sleep after a long day hiking. Lot of options for meals. The only downside is that the place is a bit rundown and should probably be better maintained considering the number of staff. We also had some impolite Israeli guests (as usual) but that's not their fault.
The location is the only good thing about this place, the Rila Mountains are magnificent. Exorbitant price to sleep in a 14-bed dorm (40 lev), one bathroom for 100 people with 2 showers hidden by a thin curtains and two toilets whose doors do not close. No dustbin in the dorms. Expensive meals with small portions, unfriendly staff (apart from a young woman at the reception). It is better to come with your tent than to sleep here.
