Definitely worth going: great tour, comfortable bus, wonderful place, amazing guide! Maria is very knowledgeable, she answered all our questions and showed us the best of Meteora. She is both very friendly and efficient as a professional. We visited 3 magnificent monasteries. Special thanks to Dimitris who helped with the logistics. Best value for the price!
We had a great evening tour with Katerina as guide and George driving us -two of the most genuine people working in tourism that I have ever met. They are very proud of Kalabaka and the surrounding area, and are fully invested in sharing a very informative and educational experience for their guests. They taught us a lot about the history of the local area, and we shared conversations about life in our respective homes. To the owners of Meteora Trip tours- Katerina made a significant contribution to the enjoyment of our day here. She is filled with historical facts. She is very professional beyond her young years. Absolute best! Booked a same-day sunset tour via phone, and was picked up a couple of hours later from my hotel in a mini van! We were a tiny group so we were able to get ahead larger groups. Our guide Vasili Bill was nice and knowledgeable. They offer other interesting tours as well that are worth considering for our next visit.
Girlfriend and I booked a 2 day trip with this company and they were nothing short of wonderful. Booked our train tickets and hotel stay for us, and the hotel was a really good choice with comfortable beds, great location and a good breakfast all included. The sunset tour was amazing, our guide and driver for the first day, Vasilis, was very very careful with driving us around which we appreciated and was very enthusiastic. Nikos, our second guide for the hike on the second day, was very patient and accommodating. The hike was a perfect way to see meteora and experience a different and very private way to see everything. What I truly appreciate was that both Vasilis and Nikos were locals to the region and did not just share the myths and histories behind the different monasteries and parts of Meteora, but their lives and their perspectives. This was a very amazing trip and I would definitely be back. P.S. if you don't do the hike you are really missing out
