Taking this experience with Irma (Mia) from Georgian Flavors was one of the most authentic and beautiful moments I’ve ever had. I still feel like I’m in another dimension. What I experienced that day was so, so, so wonderful, profound, colorful, flavorful, and truly authentic. This experience was literally a gift. The moment we shared together with Irma, her cousin Bako (who was helping us the whole time) will stay with me forever. Irma is full of kindness and generosity. She opens not just her house but also her heart, creating an atmosphere where you’re not just learning recipes but truly sharing moments and building memories that last a lifetime. Whenever I think of Tbilisi, I’ll always remember you, your home, and all of us cooking together. What you are offering is so important, and I’m deeply grateful for it. This is not just a simple cooking class, it’s something much more. It’s a doorway into Georgia’s soul: its culture, its cuisine, and its identity. I recommend this experience more than any other tour. If you want to connect with Georgia in a real, meaningful way… please, do it. You won’t regret it.

Wonderful way to experience and discover Georgian culinary traditions. I would 100% recommend a cooking class with Irma, one of the highlights of our two-week stay in Tbilisi. Irma is so knowledgeable about the different regional cuisines throughout Georgia, and emphasizes quality seasonal ingredients in her cooking. Excited to share these recipes with friends and family back home!

This was an unbelievably wonderful gastronomic and cultural experience. We spent the afternoon cooking and learning from Irma and her lovely cousin in Irma’s beautiful home. She is a terrific teacher. The food was so delicious, authentically Georgia and tailored to our specific dietary needs. Spending the afternoon with these women was the highlight of our wonderful Georgian adventure. Getting to know them and share a delicious meal with them was an experience we will cherish. Worth every mouth watering penny- and more

Whenever I travel, I try to take a cooking class — it’s one of my favorite ways to learn about a country’s culture and add some variety to my trip. My experience with Irma at Georgian Flavors was easily the most personal one I’ve had so far. The class takes place in her actual home kitchen, which gives it a warm, intimate feel. To my surprise, it ended up being just me, Irma, and her cousin — and I absolutely loved that. It felt more like cooking and having lunch with friends than a formal class. I had asked about making khinkali dumplings, and Irma kindly built the menu around that with some incredible traditional sides. In hindsight, I’d recommend also asking her for suggestions on what to cook — as we were preparing the khinkali, I learned she has a deep knowledge of many other dishes that sounded amazing and I wish I got to try those too. We ended the session with a relaxed lunch, homemade wine, and real conversation. It’s the kind of travel experience that stays with you. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something local, authentic, and meaningful while in Tbilisi.

I had a wonderful time … the cooking class was hands on and very good. I learnt about Georgian spices and techniques and Irma was very good at explaining details. After the class we sat down and enjoyed the food created together and Irma had made a wonderful dessert and her cousin made the most delicious Turkish coffee. Over all … an absolute must do cooking class and a warm delightful home. I can’t wait for Irma’s cook book to come out - it will be a gem !
