We took a day trip to the Estancia El Omni de Areco in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was a rainy day before our trip and the road leading to the ranch was so muddy that we had to transfer from our tour bus to several small pickup trucks to the ranch. The air was so fresh and cool during the winter in July. We were welcomed by the Gauchos with soft drinks, tea, and empanadas. We were enjoying the folklore dancing, the horse shows, the Border Collies helped herding the horses, and horse riding. The lunch was delicious with variety of foods, and the beef steaks were so tender and juicy. It’s a pleasure to enjoy the peaceful day at the countryside with the friendly Gauchos.

Was there for the day. Greeted with empanadas and beverages. Enjoyed a carriage ride through the ranch, a dance demonstration, music, a horse whisperer demonstration, and a meal. They were very accommodating and made a vegetarian meal for me. The main meal consisted of salads and meat which was delivered in stages with blood sausage first, then chicken, pork, beef, and ribs.

Beautiful authentic estancia. Came with a group and we all loved it here! The views were phenomenal and the meals were delicious. The horseback riding was the highlight of this trip. None of us wanted to leave! 😄

An Unforgettable and Heartfelt Experience at Estancia El Ombu I don’t usually write reviews (honestly, I’m a bit lazy when it comes to that), but it would feel completely wrong and unfair not to say something about how amazing our experience was at Estancia El Ombu. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect—the location is beautiful, peaceful, and authentically Argentine. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and lovingly prepared. The activities were fun and well-organized, and the people… just incredibly warm and kind. But what truly set this place apart for us was how they handled a difficult and unexpected situation. My fiancé fell during a horseback ride and got injured. The team at El Ombu didn’t hesitate, they drove us to the hospital, even though we didn’t speak Spanish. One of their team members, Pat, stayed with us the entire time, translating, talking to doctors, and making sure we were taken care of. She was our angel in that moment. Even more, they sent us meals from the estancia every day, along with pillows, blankets, and anything we might need to be more comfortable. Diego, the manager, went above and beyond, driving 30 minutes every day just to check in on us and ask if we needed anything. Their care and attention were so genuine, we felt like we were with family. This review is 100% real and honest. What they did for us went way beyond hospitality—it was kindness, compassion, and humanity at its best. We will definitely return to Buenos Aires, and there’s no doubt we’ll stay at Estancia El Ombu again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Beautiful and serene, perfect escape from the city. Grounds are rustic but rooms are luxurious. Delicious food at all meals, especially empanadas. Very accommodating and thoughtful staff
