Explore independently at your preferred pace, as guided groups are not permitted on park trails. A complimentary app provides narration in sixteen languages, allowing you to enjoy informative commentary during the journey and your forest visit.

Choose how you would like to finish your experience. Return directly to Fisherman’s Wharf with the group or get dropped off in Sausalito to explore its charming waterfront independently. From Sausalito, arrange your own return using the Golden Gate Ferry or a rideshare service. Please note that the seasonal afternoon departure requires a rideshare from Sausalito. The park entrance fee is fifteen dollars for visitors aged sixteen and older, payable directly to the National Park Service. Children under sixteen and National Parks pass holders enter free.

The complete round trip takes approximately three hours, making this excursion convenient for visitors with busy San Francisco itineraries. Daily departures are available at eight in the morning and noon, with an additional seasonal four o’clock departure beginning May first.
