Veterans Day Celebration Cruise Aboard Potomac
Join the annual Veterans Day cruise aboard the historic presidential yacht Potomac for a special celebration honoring military veterans and active servicemembers. The cruise brings together history, music, remembrance, and scenic views for a meaningful day on San Francisco Bay.
The cruise begins with a visit toward the USS Hornet aircraft carrier in Alameda for its commemoration ceremony. During this tribute, a Potomac crew member and Scottish bagpiper will perform TAPS and other musical selections, while the Oakland Interfaith Youth Choir adds patriotic performances to the occasion.
After the ceremony, Potomac continues into San Francisco Bay, offering views of islands, bridges, lighthouses, birds, boats, ships, and other landmarks around the bay. Experienced docents will provide narration about points of interest, including World War Two sites and other important features along the route.
Guests can enjoy a delicious box lunch during the cruise, along with complimentary coffee, tea, and dispensed water. Soft drinks and bottled water will be available for purchase. Special discounts are offered for veterans, active military members, and groups of ten or more. A transaction fee is added to ticket purchases.
