Unveil the hidden gems of southern Cebu as you embark on an unforgettable journey that blends awe-inspiring encounters with natural beauty and local charm. Just a few hours’ drive from Cebu City, the town of Oslob welcomes you with its serene coastal vibe and rich cultural heritage. But the true highlight lies beneath the waves—an up-close experience with the gentle giants of the sea, the whale sharks, locally known as butanding. Swimming and snorkeling alongside these magnificent creatures in their natural environment is both humbling and exhilarating, making it a once-in-a-lifetime moment for wildlife lovers and adventurers alike.
The adventure continues as you make your way to the enchanting Aguinid Falls in Samboan, where nature unveils a different kind of magic. Unlike typical waterfalls, Aguinid features a series of multi-level cascades that you can climb and explore, each level offering its own charm with limestone formations, turquoise pools, and cool, flowing waters. With the guidance of local tour assistants, you’ll trek, splash, and climb your way through the lush forest trails—immersed in both the thrill of adventure and the calming embrace of nature. This combination of marine wonder and jungle exploration showcases the diverse beauty of Cebu’s southern gems.

Thank you to supporter He is kind and calm to caring us Lol Whale shark is cute and scary in the same time You need to visit here😊

It was an awesome experience swimming with the whale shark/s. It's my second time around. The only complaint that I have is that the 40 minute promise to spend time with the shark was not followed and is in fact so short. 500php entrance fee is not a small amount for a local. Maybe depending on your guides, however we only spent 25 minutes. Feels like they were in a rush to grab the next tourist.

Guide: Walk to the reception area, Pick up a ticket and pay. 1000 as a tourist and 500 pesos for Filipinos. Sit in waiting area, waiting to be called by number and you will be guided on a boat. Goggles and life jacket are included for price. Roughly 30 mins of whale shark viewing. It's great to see them up close. Negatives are that there is exploitation.

Amazing unique experience that I'll definitely remember forever. Giant majestic creatures swimming right next to you. Yes it's a pain to get here from Cebu with early morning departures. Yes there's a long wait after you arrive to queue for your number. There's also jellyfish in the water so I got some minor stings throughout. Still totally worth doing once in your lifetime. Went with a packaged tour out of Cebu but it's probably not terribly difficult to navigate if you came via bus yourself.

I believe the whale shark experience was enjoyable and recommend it. It is advisable to wear UV protective clothing, take water shoes, and bring a snorkel with a connection to hold the snorkel. While I had an enjoyable time, we were only provided with goggles, which limited viewing time, and I found myself out of breath frequently where as the snorcal would have allowed both viewing and breathing. To maximize the experience, prepare adequately as it goes by quickly. Additionally, commend the guides and operators for their excellent work.
