Step into the depths of ancient history on this immersive journey through the Catacombs of St. Callixtus and the storied Appian Way. Begin with a guided visit to the Catacombs, one of the most important Christian burial sites in Rome, located within the expansive Callistian complex. Dating back to the late 2nd century, these catacombs served as the official cemetery of the early Church. As you descend into the underground chambers, you'll explore a network of tunnels that once housed the tombs of martyrs, popes, and early Christians—bearing silent witness to centuries of faith and perseverance. The site is named after Callistus I, who played a pivotal role in managing and expanding the cemetery during his time as deacon and later as pope.

The tour continues with a captivating ride along the Ancient Appian Way, one of Rome's oldest and most fascinating roads. This e-bike adventure offers a unique and sustainable way to experience the serene beauty of the Appian Way Regional Park, where time seems to stand still. You'll cycle past remarkable landmarks like the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella and the Circus of Maxentius, all while learning the stories hidden within this once-military route. Midway through your journey, take a tranquil break in the enchanting Holy Wood, where you'll enjoy a delightful Roman-style brunch or aperitif, depending on the time of day. As you rest, hear the romantic legend of Egeria and Numa Pompilius, adding a mythic touch to this rich cultural and historical experience.

Bernie was a super guide. He really kept us moving and was very fun to talk with when we stopped. The bikes worked as they should. We were put into a group with two other families that were super nice. We represented IL, VA, and FL. Highly recommend this tour!

Had the most wonderful time today with Glen & Sylvia who took us on an afternoon E Bike tour of the Catacombs and then along the Appian Way and past the Aqua ducts. It was a glimpse of Rome we would never have seen by ourselves. The beauty and the history was awesome, and the "Apéritif” provided along the way was ridiculously good. So plentiful and filling that there was no need to go elsewhere to eat after the tour concluded. Seriously, do yourself a favour and book this tour. We could not recommend Glen, Sylvia and their gorgeous dog Peter enough.

Amazing experience!! Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny, electric bikes made the ride very pleasant. We also got to taste authentic Italian cuisine in a lovely restaurant of the countryside. Everything was perfect, we would highly recommend both the tour and the bike company.
