It truly feels like a place that takes you back in time — telling the story of how people or ancient civilizations once lived there. It evokes a magical sense of the Berber (Amazigh) culture, making it a truly wonderful experience. We didn’t get the chance to visit every part of it due to ongoing renovations, but it was still an unforgettable experience.

Lovely place to visit, not too large place and also not cheap for what it is. Just a few seller trying to rip you off, one restaurant inside with normal high street prices. In my opinion is not worthy to visit for the price you pay to enter. But once you in you can take a few pictures and in one hour you out, because there no much to see. Also another point is that is far away from the main city and you will also have to pay taxi to go and come back which make your cost up to visit this man-made place.

Visiting Agadir Medina was a lovely surprise. It’s not the busy modern Agadir you might expect, but a carefully reconstructed version of the old city that was lost in the 1960 earthquake. The craftsmanship is incredible – hand-carved doors, traditional tiles, and quiet courtyards that make you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. It’s a calm escape from the main tourist areas — you can wander through artisan workshops, see beautiful handmade goods, and stop for mint tea in the courtyard cafés. The atmosphere is relaxed and respectful, with local artists happy to explain their work without the pushiness you sometimes find elsewhere. It’s smaller than a traditional medina, so you’ll probably explore it in an hour or two, but it’s definitely worth the visit — especially if you appreciate architecture, photography, or Moroccan crafts. 🕌 Tip: Go early in the morning or later in the afternoon when it’s cooler and the light is perfect for photos.

Beautiful place, the reconstruction is really well done. Lots to see, the cafe was a welcome stop off at the end for the kids and did not disappoint. The was something for everyone... Delicious tagines, traditional BBQ and burger for the less adventurous. All delicious. Highly recommend.

Agadir Medina is such a beautiful and amazing place to visit. The architecture, design and details are truly impressive, giving you a real sense of Moroccan culture and history. It’s peaceful to walk around, with plenty of little shops and handicrafts to explore. A perfect spot to enjoy the atmosphere, take pictures, and soak in the charm of Agadir. Highly recommend!
