Frampton Farm welcomes families to enjoy a three hour morning filled with animals, outdoor activities, and hands on learning. Open to all ages, this family experience offers a chance to discover what daily life is like on a working educational farm. Bookings are made per car, with a maximum of six people in each vehicle, making the session suitable for families spending time together.
The morning begins with arrival and parking assistance before families head to the classroom for a welcome talk and safety briefing. A member of the farm team guides the group throughout the visit, sharing information about farm rules and animal care. Guests can then meet the animals, learn about different species, and take part in organised farm activities.
A major part of the experience is helping farmers prepare and feed the animals. Families may also top up hay racks and water while learning about the daily responsibilities of caring for farm animals. Guests must remain with a staff member when entering animal areas, ensuring the activities are safe and supervised.
Families can also spend time enjoying the farm surroundings and bring a picnic to enjoy when weather permits. Tea, coffee, and water are available during the session. The farm is located on a hill and is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs, so young children must be able to walk or be carried during the farm tour. Wellies or closed toe shoes are recommended.
