Excellent tour service! We had one day in Florence and booked the Essential Florence walking tour. Our guide, Andrea, was extremely informed, helpful, and friendly. The tour group was small (8 in total) and we passed lots of other groups that were enormous (did not look fun at all). We had a great time and it was impressive how much we saw and learned with my three hours- highly recommend!

My wife and I had an excellent experience with Walkabout Tours on the day-long Cinque Terre tour and hike. Alessandro and Emma did an exceptional job on the tour and covered many dimensions and characteristics of the Tuscan and Cinque Terre regions: Historical, political, economic, geographic, geologic, agricultural, and cultural. As a side note, if you have Alessandro as a guide and you had a family member who was part of the WWII American invasion of Sicily and Italy, it is worth having a side conversation with him as time allows.

My husband and I have never done a tour like this before, typically when we travel we like to be flexible instead of sticking to a schedule. However, this tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! From the moment we boarded the bus, our guide Mano was so friendly and insightful. He offered a little bit of a backstory for himself and made the tour feel so personable as if you were touring with a friend! Through our drive he told us stories about the history of Florence and the Tuscan towns that we would be visiting. Our first stop was in Siena where we took a tour with a local guide. Learning about the history and the customs of the people of Siena was so fascinating! Our next stop was at a farm near San Gimignano where we were offered a delicious lunch and wine tasting. The wine was in abundance and divine! After lunch we were able to explore the farm and admire the lovely view of San Gimignano. Afterwards we were able to have free time in the town itself. San Gimignano was the most beautiful destination we went to throughout Italy! Our last stop before returning to Florence was in Pisa. My husband and I were able to admire the tower and enjoy free time before re-boarding the bus. I will recommend Walkabout tours to anyone visiting Florence!
