The owners are two of the musicians. Others included a woman the owners knew since she was a teenager and local singers who came in wanting to perform. It was like the Bruce Springsteen of Fado concerts, with an 8pm reservation turning into a dinner and show that ended well after dessert close to midnight. Singers rotated around the room and upstairs, singing solo and together, to create different vocal effects. There was audience participation with singing and clapping. One of the most unique experiences I've ever had, and the food was excellent. If you come to Lisbon, this restaurant experience should absolutely be on your list.

Clean nicely family owned building for this restaurant with classic Portuguese dishes of seafood and meats on a pre fixe menu which included lovely Fado music played between the courses of meals. Be prepared to stay an entire evening sitting cozy next to other guests. Location was not in an overcrowded tourist section of Lisbon. Make reservations as it is not a large venue. Overall worth the money for entertainment & food.

Amazing show with great food. We loved the cozy and the interactive atmosphere. The singers simply touched the soul. Must visit place while at Lisbon. May be I need to visit Lisbon again only for experiencing this show.. lol

Incredible! All the Fado singers and guitarists are exceptional performers. The food was delicious. Service was great. Overall exceptional experience! The owners are amazing- husband and wife duo that perform Fado (guitar and singing). They really get to know to everyone dining in their own language (Portuguese, Spanish, French, or English) and provide excellent recommendations for things to enjoy in Portugal. Definitely must do in Lisbon!!

This is a MUST do experience in Lisbon. The performers were exceptional, true artists of their genre. The food was delicious and the service friendly and helpful. What you need to know, that may not be clear, is that this is a 4-4.5 hour event. We thought (mistakenly) that it would be about 1-2 hours, but it is twice that (which is an amazing value!). Shortly after arriving at your appointed time (use the email for the correct address, by the way - we happened upon an old venue with their information on it at a different location in town, but the correct one is on the confirmation email), the waitstaff will take your order for the evening. You are presented with the bread course first, plus whatever beverages you order, and then the performers do a set. After that, you are given your appetizers, followed by another set, then the main course, and another set, and so on. It is truly worth your time and money to see this unforgettable show. In between the sets, some of the artists mingle and chat with the audience, and we were delighted to learn more about the craft of Fado from one of them, which added to the richness of our experience. The sheer joy evident in the faces of the performers was contagious, and at one point we (the audience) were invited to sing along. There is one more set after dessert, but having just arrived, we were poorly jet-lagged and could not stay awake any longer and had to depart (again, we didn’t know how long the show was). It was absolutely the best experience of our 3-weeks in Portugal (from Porto to Faro). We were four adults all together, and all agree that this was an outstanding experience, food, and service. Highly recommend!
