Veteran's Train

This special train excursion honors United States Veterans active military and First Responders on the 250th anniversary of the adoption of the United States Declaration of Independence. The journey departs at 10 in the morning and returns around 1 in the afternoon offering a relaxing ride through scenic areas that are not accessible by road. A light lunch and beverage are served during the trip creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests. Veterans are required to show valid identification at check in and may bring one guest at a reduced rate making this a meaningful shared experience. Passengers are advised to arrive early as boarding begins 30 minutes before departure and early arrival allows time to explore the depot exhibits and shop. Safety is a priority on this historic train which features vintage cars from the 1940s. Guests must be able to step onto the train with assistance if needed and remain seated if unsteady. Service dogs are allowed with prior notice but pets are not permitted. Travelers should be prepared for possible delays and natural conditions as the route goes into remote areas and the train movement may not suit those with balance or motion concerns.
