Stand up paddling & scooter roundtrip: Schmilka - Bad Schandau

Your experience begins in Schmilka where you receive a stand up paddleboard along with a paddle a dry bag and a brief introduction. The calm waters of the Elbe River provide an ideal setting to learn and practice balance and control before setting off. As you glide forward the landscape opens into the impressive Elbe canyon where towering sandstone cliffs rise on both sides creating a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. The gentle current carries you smoothly downstream allowing you to relax and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty as you approach Bad Schandau.

Upon arrival at the left riverbank near the bridge in Bad Schandau you transition from water to land by exchanging your paddleboard for a scooter or bicycle with the necessary gear. The return journey follows the picturesque Elbe cycling trail guiding you along the river through serene views and fresh air back to Schmilka. Once there a short ferry ride takes you across to the opposite bank where you return your equipment at the Bio Nationalpark Refugium completing a well balanced adventure of water and land exploration.
