I was so looking forward to spending a night at one of the original caves and I must say that this stay exceeded my already high expectations. This place is just so unique, so special. Starting from the welcome, the staff showing us around, explaining the history of these caves, candles lit in the room, aperitivo in the "church" and a wonderful breakfast too, just wow! What I also loved about the stay was the quiet stillness that wraps these caves around and its unique history.

Who knew a cave could be so luxurious! The bed was cozy. The lighting was romantic - especially the candles, placed strategically around the room. The shower was spacious. The linens, including the fluffiest of bath robes, were plush. And the toiletries were of the highest quality - handcrafted goats milk soap is pretty indulgent for a hotel room. The fruit bowl was so gorgeous, we thought it was ornamental and fake. We were very impressed with the breakfast spread, and the cathedral it is served in. Can't help but note that we would've preferred a more private toilet situation (cave 20), but it definitely added to the authenticity of the accommodations. The staff were all wonderful - they take a lot of pride in their surroundings, and provided us with quite the education on the project. Gave us an even greater appreciation for the opportunity to stay in this incredible property. What an experience!

We had high expectations for our stay at Sextantio. The pictures of Hotel on the website promised a truly unique and luxurious experience. They did not disappoint. The caves are rustic, memorable yet luxurious with ample toiletries and comforts available. The location is incredibly ideal to navigate by foot bus or car.. The breakfast were some of the best I ever had in my life. Lorenzo made us feel part of the family and was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
