Great experience with a really nice, knowledgeable host! He showed us the vineyard, cellar and answered throughly all questions. Wine and olive oil tasting was also an amazing experience paired with delicious local foods.

Our hotel organised a wine a d olive oil tasting at Cantine Domenico Russo, which they said included 6 wine glasses. 6 flavored oils accompanied by typical local products for €20.00 per person. We have done wine tasting in South Africa, Austria, New Zealand, Portugal, France, Romania, Spain, etc. but this stood out as the best tasting of all. Cantine Domenico Russo is a family run business and we were welcomed by the Father - Domenico, Mother - Lucana and the Son - Andrea. Andrea then gave us a short tour of the local vines a olive trees, explaining how the weather. age of trees, etc affects the wine and olive oil. Then we moved onto the processing. Especially interesting was how they infused the 6 different flavours into the oil, The tasting followed starting with their sparkling white, followed by their white. then the Rosso, then a 12.5% Primatevo, then the 14% Primatevo. At the same time, Lucana was pouring the different flavoured olive oils on croutons, followed by a selection of local food ( see photo) then as a finale, we had the sweet (pudding) wine with biscuits, which we were encourt to dunk in the wine. All in all a great experience, And we left with a 5 litre bottle of the 14% Primatevo, with a total bill of €50.80 Highly recommend.

great atmosphere and very detailed information. it was extra bonus to try this family olive oils besides their wines. food was great. it was not tasting between vineyards as we thought ,but inside the fabric where they make all the wine. recommend

We stopped by after visiting Ginosa in the morning. Their youngest son gave us a gorgeous tour of the vineyard and then we did the wine tasting. The olive oil and charcuterie that were served was amazing as well! Thanks Russo family for having us we hope to be back soon.

We stopped by spontaneously and had such a lovely experience! This family-run winery offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and their wine tasting is surprisingly affordable for the quality. The wines were delicious, and we enjoyed learning about their process. Highly recommend dropping in for a relaxed, enjoyable—and wallet-friendly—stop!
