In this hands-on glassblowing class at the museum participants can select two colors from a wall of more than sixty vibrant glass options. Working closely with an instructor, they will add the chosen colors to molten clear glass and then use a blow hose to inflate the piece. Each participant will create a unique stemless wine glass tumbler or rocks glass approximately four to six inches tall. The class is designed for beginners and no prior experience is needed, making it accessible for anyone interested in exploring the art of glassmaking.

After shaping the glass, pieces are annealed to strengthen them and will be available for pickup on the museum’s next open day. Alternatively, participants may opt to have their work shipped for an additional fee. All class-made glass must be collected within sixty days, otherwise it becomes the property of the museum. The class provides a creative and engaging experience, allowing participants to leave with a one-of-a-kind handmade glass as a lasting memory of their visit. Safety guidance and instruction from experienced staff ensure a fun and secure environment for all ages.
